About Qube Gallery

Qube Gallery opened in 2013 as an independent space for contemporary art in Cebu. What followed was never loud—but it was consistent. Through years of exhibitions, collaborations, and quiet momentum, the gallery has become a steady presence in the region’s art landscape.

In its early years, Qube often served as a starting point for artists developing their practice. It held space for experimentation—for work that was still in flux, not yet fully resolved, yet already asking the right questions, drawing the eye and holding it.

Today, the gallery continues to evolve—still grounded in place, but shaped by a more defined curatorial direction. Qube has presented work at art fairs across Hong Kong, Taiwan, Tokyo, and Singapore, and remains a regular exhibitor at Art Fair Philippines. It has been recognised with Best Booth Awards at both Xavier Art Fair and the Barcelona International Art Fair.

The gallery is a member of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), AWITA (Association of Women in the Arts), AWAD (Association of Women Art Dealers), and Art Gorgeous.

Twelve years on, Qube holds to the instincts that shaped it: attention, care, and a belief in showing work that resonates—sometimes quietly, always with intention.

Focused Representation

Qube enters its next chapter with a clearer curatorial framework: fewer exhibitions, deeper engagement, and a more deliberate approach to artist representation.

The gallery now works with a focused group of artists—practitioners whose work shows not only technical and conceptual strength, but a commitment to sustained growth. Representation is long-term and collaborative, shaped by ongoing dialogue and shared intent.

Each exhibition is part of a larger curatorial arc. Shows are not programmed to fill space, but to build meaning—connecting themes, practices, and perspectives over time. The aim is to contribute to a broader conversation, not just within Cebu, but within the region.

Qube’s relationship with The Abaca Group reflects its commitment to embedding contemporary art into everyday life. These site-specific projects bring the gallery’s work beyond its walls and into the texture of the city—into hospitality, design, and shared spaces where art becomes part of how place is experienced.

This direction is grounded in three commitments:
Focused Representation. Elevated Intent. Local Impact.
